The history
The Chevrolet Camaro was born as a competitor to the popular Ford Mustang in the late 60's. They both followed the same receipt to success, slick looks, moderately pricing and huge V8 engines. It remained a success all the way up to the late 1990's.
The Design
The 2010 is true to the original models but has introduced elements from the Chevrolet Z06 and the Raptor Fighter plane. The gray hood and rear stripes is also an original design element.
The engine
The gigantic 6.0L V8 engine was designed for the Corvette and completely in aluminum. The engine delivers raw performance when all 8 cylinders are available - but the engine has a trick up its sleeve as it can run on only 4 cylinders. When running as a standard V4 engine the fuel economy is a modest 24mpg (10.2km/l).
